Dive into a magical and fun adventure where your voice is the only escape. I designed the soundscape to support the unique vocal gameplay mechanic and bring the enchanted castle to life. Every sound was crafted to react expressively to the player’s voice input, reinforcing the whimsical and mysterious tone of the game.

Complete rework of the game’s sound environment using Unity and FMOD. Focused on adaptive audio and environmental storytelling through sound implementation.

I specialize in crafting emotionally immersive music and sound for film, short features, and trailers. Whether you're telling a dramatic story, exploring folklore, or building tension through silence and noise, I bring a narrative-first approach that enhances the visual experience.

🎬 Sombras de Campo – Original Score for Chilean Folklore Short Films
Role: Composer Arranger & Violinist
Sombras de Campo is a series of short films based on myths and legends from southern Chile, featuring dark tales of demons and malevolent creatures rooted in local folklore. For this project, I composed an original score and crafted a sonic atmosphere that reflects the eerie, ominous tone of these chilling stories.
Using my violin as the central instrument, I created haunting, textured soundscapes that evoke the tension, fear, and mysticism present in each narrative.


Joker Teaser (Narrative Score & Analysis)
Role: Composer & Narrative Analyst
An original score crafted for a teaser scene of Joker. Each instrument symbolizes a psychological element of Arthur’s transformation, blending traditional instruments in unconventional ways.
– Piano (Arthur), Cello (tragedy), Violin (madness), Guitars/Bass (ambient layers)
Structured in 3 narrative acts, with irregular meter (7/4) for the final descent into chaos.

Aural Surroundings – WALL - E Scene (Foley & Sound Design)
🎧 Role: Foley Artist & Sound Designer
In this project, we aimed to bring realism and narrative clarity to a scene from WALL·E through carefully crafted Foley and environmental sound design. We used a Tascam Zoom stereo recorder to capture most of the sounds.
The music at the beginning of the scene was designed to feel magical and full of wonder, aligning with Eva’s first impression of Wall-E’s home.
Foley materials used: Toy car, spoons, pot, string, coins, sponge, plastic lid, CD, Rubik’s Cube, bag, can, water gun, cases. A vocoder was used for robot vocalization.

From ambient synth explorations to reimagined video game themes, I create and arrange music that brings emotional weight, style, and personality to every project. Whether composing original scores or transforming iconic melodies, I aim to build unique sonic experiences tailored to each artistic vision.

🌌 SYNTH 30 – Space Music (Original Composition)
Role: Composer
A contrast-driven ambient composition created with over 30 different synthesizers, inspired by the vastness of galaxies and the silence of deep space. Built with shifting textures and evolving structures, the piece creates a meditative, cosmic journey.

🎹 Arrangements & Covers
Aquatic Ambiance – Recomposed (Polysteichon)
This is my personal arrangement of “Aquatic Ambiance” by David Wise, originally featured in Donkey Kong Country. As the arranger and keyboardist, I aimed to capture the depth, solemnity, and mystery of the ocean, reinterpreting the piece through the sonic identity of my band.
We have toured three times across Chile performing this and other video game themes, and had the honor of sharing the stage with David Wise, who personally praised our cover for its emotional strength and originality.

About me
Joaquín Parraguez
composer, sound designer, and arranger born in Chile and currently based in Madrid, Spain. I specialize in music for video games, film, and interactive media, combining my classical training with modern audio production tools.
I trained as a violinist at the conservatory, graduating at the age of 21 with the highest honors in my class, after performing with the National Youth Orchestra of Chile. In 2022, I began a Master’s degree in Music Composition and Production at the Universidad EARTES From Malaga, Spain, where I deepened my knowledge in digital audio, synthesis, and orchestration.
Since the age of 18, I’ve been composing original music and developing a personal approach that adapts to each project—innovative, atmospheric, and emotionally narrative. My main creative platform is my band Polysteichon, where I’m the founder, keyboardist, and arranger, reinterpreting iconic video game music in rock, orchestral, and hybrid styles. We’ve toured across Chile and Spain, and had the honor of sharing the stage with industry legends such as David Wise, Akira Toriyama, and Crush 40.
I work with tools such as Studio One, FMOD, Wwise, Sibelius, and Filmora. I have experience composing for indie games, films, short films, trailers, and game jams, where my work has been recognized for its sound quality and musical impact.
I’m currently available for collaborations and freelance work in game development, media scoring, and sound design. If you’re looking for a dynamic soundtrack, immersive atmosphere, or orchestral arrangements, I can offer a narrative-driven approach tailored to your vision.
